Eric Brewer is reportedly close to signing a contract extension with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Brewer's contract will probably be in the range of $16 million over four years. The Lightning acquired Brewer from the St. Louis Blues on February 18th in exchange for for a third-round pick in the 2011 NHL entry draft and prospect Brock Beukeboom
