The Minnesota Wild are investigating James Sheppard's (knee) ATV accident.
Sheppard's agent, Mark Guy, said that his client was on a "guided tour" with some other NHL players. Guy says that Sheppard sustained the knee injury while swerving to avoid a truck. Sheppard underwent surgery and isn't expected to be available until December or early January. The Wild might attempt to suspend Sheppard once he reports to training camp and fails his physical. "There's a lot of different scenarios," General Manager Chuck Fletcher said. "It's probably best to deal with things internally." We'll keep you posted.
